WHAT IS CRYOSKIN?

Cryoskin uses the science behind cryotherapy, using cold temperatures to treat the body and offers scientifically-sound spot reduction of unwanted fat and the appearance of cellulite.

This 45-minute treatment is a non-invasive solution for stubborn fat pockets around your upper arms, back, thighs, abdomen, waist, hips and knees.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

Cryoskin uses apoptosis, a process that uses cold temperatures to destroy fat cells. The cold temperatures cause aptosis, or cell death, of subcutaneous fat. The body then naturally disposes of these fat cells through the lymphatic system and urine. Fat cells die at temperatures that the skin can withstand, so Cryoskin cools the skin just enough to reduce fat whilst improving the appearance of skin.

WHO IS AN IDEAL CANDIDATE?

CryoSlimming is ideal for someone who follows a healthy and active lifestyle but still has excess fat in localized areas. It is not ideal for someone who is classified as “Obese” or with a BMI of 35 or higher. 

HOW OFTEN CAN I GET TREATMENTS?

CryoSlimming sessions typically last under an hour and can only be done every 2 weeks. This is because when fat cells die, waste is formed. This waste is eliminated by natural routes (blood, lymphatics and then urine). Metabolism must therefore be allowed time to evacuate the waste without overloading the circuits. It takes about 14 days for your lymphatics to eliminate the majority of the cellular debris.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SEE RESULTS?

For CryoSlimming, the first results are generally visible from the first session and often very encouraging. However, it should be noted that optimal results appear from 2 to 3 weeks after the start of treatment but it is recommended to treat specific areas between 3 – 6 times for the best results. Afterwards, the effects of the sessions can last for years, but it is recommended to schedule 1 – 2 sessions every 6 months while maintaining a healthy diet and exercise.

To maximize results, avoid eating or drinking all kinds of sugar 2-4 hours before and after the session. This includes pasta, bread, rice, fruit and cereals and of course fast-acting sugars found in processed foods. It is highly recommended to drink 64 ounces of water per day during the duration of sessions.

IS IT SAFE?

The treatments are very safe and completely non-invasive. Many clients visit during their lunch break or immediately following a workout.

There is no downtime with Cryoskin. Clients can get straight on with their day after a session.

Side effects include localized redness, itching, minor pain or numbness that commonly disappear in a few hours.

Slimming and Body Toning is NOT recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. However, CryoFacial is safe during this time. Do NOT participate in Cryoskin if you have: Raynaud’s syndrome, allergy to cold, Cancer, Kidney or Liver Disease. Persons with open sores, skin conditions, or acne shouldn’t receive a Cryoskin treatment in that area until fully healed. Persons with Severe Diabetes should consult a doctor prior to seeking a Cryoskin treatment.

CAN I WORKOUT BEFORE / ATER TREATMENTS?

It is NOT recommended that you exercise BEFORE Slimming treatments because it will be harder to cool the body and therefore, get the most effective results. However, exercise is encouraged afterwards.

WHAT DO I NEED TO WEAR FOR MY SESSION?

Loose-fitting clothes are highly recommended as it allows easy access to the treatment areas. Avoid wearing any cosmetic products or lotions on your body before your session.
